Capable and Compassionate Family Dental Care in Carrollton

Young father and son go to The Carrollton Dentist for family dentistry.

The Carrollton Dentist takes great pride in being a one stop shop for families throughout the Carollton and The Colony area. Our family dentistry office makes an effort to create a friendly, personal, fun atmosphere for everyone, especially children. We want everyone to feel at ease from the moment you arrive at our office, so you know that your dental health is our first priority.

Prevent Tooth Decay!

Because family dentistry is a priority, we strive to instruct you and your loved ones about proper dental health practices. Tooth decay is preventable. Tooth decay is caused by sugars left in the mouth that turn into an acid which can break down your teeth.

Children are at high risk for tooth decay for a simple reason – many children and adolescents tend to be lax in their dental health habits. Proper brushing and flossing routines combined with regular visits to our family dentist help keep tooth decay away.

A low-sugar diet also helps keep tooth decay at bay and encourages good dental health.

This is the BEST dentist and staff ever! I drive from Fort Worth to Carrollton for the amazing experience with the most attentive, loving, caring, courteous, knowledgeable and professional dentist, Melissa Rodriguez and her entire staff. I have interacted with, if not all of the staff, most of them and it's ALWAYS a positive and welcoming experience. This has been my dentist office for years and absolutely love it!

Dentistry for Kids

A child’s first visit to the family dentist should be enjoyable and positive. The more you and your child know about the first visit, the better you will feel.

To prepare for your child’s visit, our family dentist and caring, well-trained team have created an activity kit to familiarize your child with their teeth and help them look forward to their family dentist visit. This family dentistry Dynamite Dental Fun Kit includes a brushing chart, so we can encourage your children’s dental health as early as possible.

We encourage family dentistry practices while your children are still young. Bring your child to our office, so we can begin laying the foundation for a lifetime of smiles!

Little girl’s mother who lives in The Colony takes her to The Carrollton Dentist to see a family dentist.

Teething

Your child’s first tooth erupts between ages 6–12 months, and the remainder of his/her 20 primary or “baby” teeth typically come in by age 3.

During this time, gums may feel tender and sore, causing your child to feel irritable. To help alleviate this discomfort, our family dentist recommends that you soothe the gums by rubbing a clean finger or a cool, wet cloth across them. You may also choose to make use of a teething ring.

Permanent Teeth

Your child’s primary teeth are shed at various times throughout childhood, and permanent teeth begin erupting at age 6 and continue until age 21. Adults have 28 permanent teeth, or 32 including wisdom teeth.

We are ready to care for your child’s smile, from the baby teeth to the very beginning of the adult smiles — and beyond!
